Program evaluation designs: methodological issues. Unstable circumstances o
f program evaluation contexts make impossible a systematization of program
evaluation designs. The main objective of this paper is to describe the str
uctural dimensions of program evaluation designs in order to implement them
in a flexible way in different evaluation contexts. These dimensions will
try to enhance scientific validity in evaluative data, not offering the con
ception of standard design structures for evaluations. The structural dimen
sions are: clients of the program, type of data, and recording moments. The
combination bf these dimensions will justify, different evaluative designs
