Abstract
Treatment outcomes for 31 elders with serious mental disability were assess ed to explore benefits of participation in psychiatric rehabilitation treat ment that occurs in their oa site residences and in their outside community . One-way analysis of variance with repeated measures revealed significant improvement on measures of overall quality of life from baseline to 3 month s post baseline; treatment gains fell slightly at 6 months post baseline, T hree linear regression equations found that quantity and quality of partici pation significantly predicted staff reported and overall quality of life, but not participant-reported. On the whole, participants seemed to derive b enefits from their treatment.
