Abstract
Coprecipitation of 2.8 x 10(-4) M of Np-237(VI) and 2 x 10(-7) M of the iso topic mixture Np-237 + Np-239(VI) from ammonia and alkaline solutions with Co(III) hydroxide produced by hydrolysis of Co(NH3)(6)(3+) or Co(NH3)(5)Cl2 + and Co(OH)(2) formed by reductive hydrolysis of Co(NH3)(5)Cl2+ was studie d, Neptunium converts to pentavalent state and is coprecipitated from solut ions with [OH-] less than or equal to 0.5 M.
