Abstract
Thyronine iodo derivatives are powerful thyroid hormones. Various procedure s were examined for labeling of L3-[4-(4'-hydroxy-3',5'-diiodophenoxy)-3,5- diiodophenyl]alanine (thyroxine) and L3-[4-(4'-hydroxy-3'-iodophenoxy)-3,5- diiodophenyl]alanine (lyothyronine). The most promising procedures for prep aration of tritium-labeled derivatives of such compounds are isotope exchan ge with tritium water and selective dehalogenation with gaseous tritium, re spectively.
