Abstract
The word "enkata" does not mean the same as "entera": the first refers only to the large viscera, which are situated in the hypocondrium, whereas the second refers to the intestine, situated near the navel. So etymologies by "en" and "kata" are not possible. A comparison is tentatively suggested wit h "onkos," meaning mass and swelling.
