Coordination compounds of the N ',N '-dimethylhydrazides of aryloxycarboxylic acids with some 3d-metal nitrates

Coordination compounds of N',N'-dimethylhydrazides of some aryloxycarboxyli c acids with manganese(II), cobalt(II), nickel(II), copper(II), and zinc(II ) nitrates have been studied by IR, EPR, H-1 NMR, and electron absorption s pectroscopy methods, cyclic voltammetry, and thermal analysis. The formatio n of complexes of the [M(HL)(2)(H2O)(2)](NO3)(2) type has been established, which contain bidentately coordinated hydrazide molecules chelating the me tal atom by the oxygen atom of the carbonyl group and the nitrogen atom of the dimethylamino group.
