As. Andreenko et al., Influence of hydrogenation on the coercive force of rare-earth amorphous alloys with 3d transition metals, RUSS MET R, (5), 1999, pp. 113-117
The influence of hydrogenation on the hysteresis loops in amorphous rare-ea
rth alloys with cobalt and iron is investigated. Hydrogenation intensifies
the exchange interactions in the magnetic subsystem of the 3d transition me
tal. In amorphous alloys, where rotation processes predominate in magnetiza
tion, the coercive force remains practically constant as a result of the in
troduction of hydrogen; in alloys where the magnetization is the result of
domain-boundary motion, hydrogenation leads to decrease in the coercive for
ce. In (TbxLi1-x)(7)Fe-93 alloys containing a large quantity of terbium, di
stinctive features are observed on the hysteresis loops, both in the initia
l alloys and in their hydrides. The mechanics responsible for these phenome
na are discussed.
