This paper discusses convergence behavior of the nonlinear inexact Uzawa al
gorithm for solving saddle-point problems presented in a recent paper of Br
amble, Pasciak, and Vassilev (SIAM J. Numer. Anal., 34 (1997), pp. 1072-109
2). It is shown that this algorithm converges under a condition weaker than
that stated in their paper.
