Abstract
Two analytical models of differential capacity and nonlinear regressio n analysis have been applied for the precise estimation of the paramet ers of adsorption of fatty alcohols in the order from butanol to hexan ol on mercury electrode. One of the models was based on the adsorption isotherm for a two-component system, and the other used Frumkin isoth erm with a linear dependence of the interaction parameter on electrode potential. The ability of both models to adequately predict investiga ted experimental results is discussed. The obtained precise estimates of the adsorption parameters of fatty alcohols have been compared and discussed as well. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science Ltd.
