Abstract
Aryl triflates may be cross-coupled with the amino acid derived zinc reagen ts 1, 2 and 3 using palladium catalysis at room temperature, in the presenc e of anhydrous lithium chloride, conveniently yielding phenylalanine 4, bet a-homophenylalanine 5 and gamma-bishomophenylalanine 6 derivatives respecti vely (nine examples).
