Abstract
An induced-fit type Ru(II) receptor 1 has been synthesized in which, upon a pproach of dicarboxylates, a highly flexible tetraamide binding site is org anized to complement their chemical structures. Stereoselective optical sen sing has been demonstrated by virtue of the luminescence response of 1 to t he binding of cis/trans-1,4-cyclohexanedicarboxylates. (C) 2000 Elsevier Sc ience Ltd.
