Abstract
Retro Diels-Alder reaction of N-hydroxyurea-derived acyl nitroso compound-9 ,10-dimethylanthracene cycloadducts produce acyl nitroso compounds that rea ct with nucleophiles to form nitrous oxide, which indicates the intermediac y of nitroxyl.
