Abstract
This paper introduces a unified and general tesselation algorithm for param etric and implicit surfaces. The algorithm produces a hierarchical mesh tha t is adapted to the surface geometry and has a multiresolution and progress ive structure. This representation can be exploited with advantages in seve ral applications.
