Abstract
Nanometer GaP crystal was synthesized by using the benzene - thermal synthe sis method with GaCl3 - ethyl ether, GaCl3 - benzene and P as the starting materials. The influence of remaining H2O and oxygen on the results was inv estigated. The stability of products was studied by comparing the strength of respective chemical bonds. The results indicate that both H2O and oxygen have obvious effects on the reaction process and may even change the direc tion of reaction in some case.
