A possible way of solid polymer production waste treatment is suggeste
d, namely by converting it into materials for the environmental protec
tion against noise and vibrations. Rubber and textiles wastes (i.e. fr
om the tyres and hoses production) have been upgraded in this way. The
se newly developed materials' acoustic qualities are markedly better t
han those of today's building and structural materials. Practical appl
ications possibilities are suggested. Other relevant pre-requirements
(as to conductivity etc.) are mentioned.
