Abstract
Recommendations are made for the selection and utilization of key parameter s of economic analysis of risk associated with the effect of technogenic so urces of risk on human health. These are the parameters which form the basi s of methods for assessing harm due to sources of risk under normal and eme rgency conditions, optimization of protective measures, and so on. The foll owing problems are examined: the qualitative (conceptual) and quantitative definition of the cost of risk (cost of the initial risk indicators): subst antiation of the procedures and norms for discounting (reduction of economi c quantities to same moment in time). Specific values of the cost of risk a re proposed for the set of initial risk indicators. Their choice depends on the fields and purposes of risk analysis. The recommendations are based on the use of experience and results of work performed in this and other coun tries, including work performed by the present authors in the 1980s-1990s. 22 references.
