Abstract
Effects of different doses of gamma ray and a constant temperature (35 degr ees C) for varying periods treatment duration on mitotic index and irregula rities of Crotalaria juncea L. were studied. Irregularities such as, inhibi ted metaphase chromosomes, formation of fragments, laggards, bridges, rings , etc. were recorded. In most of the cases, decreased mitotic index and inc reased mitotic irregularities were observed with an increase of the doses o f gamma rays and temperature treatment duration (TTD). Highly significant r egression of radiation but non-significant regression of TTD for both the p arameters was estimated.
