Abstract
Sub-Poissonian light in the third-harmonic generation process is studied nu merically and analytically. Special regime exhibiting the time-stable maxim um sub-Poissonian behaviour with the Fano factor F approximate to 0.81 is f ound and analyzed. Theoretical prediction of the Fano factor and explanatio n of the extraordinary time stability of the sub-Poissonian behaviour are g iven using the semiclassical method of classical trajectories.
