Abstract
Highly regioselective anodic monofluorination of benzyl thiocyanate and its derivatives was successfully carried out at a platinum anode in acetonitri le using Et3N . 5HF as a supporting electrolyte and a fluorine source to pr ovide the corresponding alpha-fluorinated products in moderate to good yiel ds. It was also found that the fluorinated product yield was affected signi ficantly by supporting fluoride salts and temperature. (C) 2000 Elsevier Sc ience Ltd. All rights reserved.
