LOCUS OF CONTROL IN DELINQUENTS

The locus of control and its role in delinquents behavior determinatio n is discussed. A hypothesis is advanced that some general factors can be considered as the basis of the formation of delinquency and a cert ain type of control. Benefits due to extraction of two subscales (cont rol in achievements and in failures) out of the general internality sc ale are substantiated. Empirical data on the locus of control in delin quents are conveyed and analyzed. The question of the manifestation of delinquents locus of control in the course of interpersonal communica tion is discussed.
