Abstract
The readily available tri-unsaturated trisaccharide 4 undergoes a stereosel ective cascade of reductive rearrangements with TIBAL (triisobutylaluminium ) to afford, after oxidative workup, the (1-->4) ether-linked trisaccharide mimetics 3 and 10.
