Abstract
A male patient had a blastic crisis of idiopathic hypereosinophilic syndrom
e which is considered in terms of true myeloproliferative diseases of tumor
(leukemic) nature. The autopsy data confirm the above consideration. Cytoc
hemical data on bone marrow cells are assessed in respect of existence of a
n independent compartment of eosinophilic precursors which may be the targe
t of the blast crisis in idiopathic hypereosinophilic syndrome.
