Abstract
Raised bogs are among the ecosystems most susceptible to atmospheric nitrog en pollution. Based on global data ranging from pristine to heavily pollute d areas, a conceptual model is presented to explain the logistic response o f these terrestrial carbon reservoirs to increased airborne nitrogen fluxes .
