Abstract
In this paper, a hot wire calibrator, which can travel at a constant and lo
w speed ranging from 0 to 350mm/s, with an accuracy of +/-1mm/s, has been d
esigned and constructed. The calibrator has also been used to counter check
the accuracy of the hot wire calibration method. Preliminary measurements
of the low speed tunnel with the calibrated hot wire, indicate that the tun
nel is suitable for low speed experiment. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science Ltd.
