Abstract
Up to now, giant magnetoresistance (GMR) multilayers usually consist of onl y one type of double layer (e.g., permalloy/copper). In this work, we repor t on results obtained on mixed systems, i.e., multilayers containing simult aneously the first and second maximum of the antiferromagnetic coupling. Bo th a phenomenological numerical approach as well as experimental results de monstrate, that such systems can be used for tailoring new shapes of GMR cu rves.
