Abstract
The logistic differential equation has been proposed recently to explain th e electrochemical behaviour of electroactive inorganic or organic films. Th is short communication shows that the logistic differential equation can be derived theoretically assuming Langmuir isotherm conditions, kinetic rever sibility and uniform concentration in the films. Other characteristic equat ions that depend on the isotherm type and the reaction kinetics are propose d for electrointercalation processes in order to fit the experimental data.
