Abstract
The paper presents a two-dimensional numerical model, based on the finite e lement method, for the analysis of the electromagnetic field inside narrow ferromagnetic strips, including hysteresis behaviour. The effect of the rat io between width and thickness of the sheet is analysed for stated supply c onditions and the results are compared with the ones provided by a one-dime nsional model, previously developed by the authors.
