The paper presents a comparative analysis of different ferromagnetic lamina
tions used for the reduction of ELF magnetic fields. The investigation is p
erformed by means of measures and simulation. The numerical model is based
on a hybrid technique coupling finite element and boundary element methods
and accounts for magnetic nonlinearities and eddy currents. The results sho
w that the use of CO magnetic materials can significantly improve the shiel
