The influence of tensile strengthening on the magnetic properties (magnetiz
ation and power losses) and the microstructure (dislocation patterns and an
tiphase boundaries) of ordered intermetallic 2% V-CoFe is investigated. The
overall magnetic properties of the alloy drastically deteriorate right fro
m the start of the strengthening and a strong magnetoplastic anisotropy eff
