Abstract
Nitriding thermochemical treatment (NTT) is used as nanocrystallization met hod. Such a method slightly improves the nanocrystallization state of Fe73. 5Cu1Si13.5B9(Nb-3) and Fe73.5Cu1Si13.5B9(Zr-3) alloys in comparison with th e conventional method. The magnetostriction constant obtained either with N b- or Zr-addition to the FeCuSiB-system is lower than that obtained when th e sample is annealed conventionally. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science B.V.
