Abstract
Multilayers composed of 40 x [Ni83Fe17/Ag] with constant thickness of Py (2 0 Angstrom) and variable Ag thickness (7 Angstrom less than or equal to t(A g) less than or equal to 25 Angstrom) were deposited by RF sputtering onto the glass substrate. Best artificial superlattice properties: the smallest deviations from bulk interplanar distances of Ag and Py and smallest interf acial roughness were obtained for t(Ag) > 19 Angstrom. The oscillation peri od of A-F coupling against Ag spacer is 12 Angstrom. (C), 2000 Elsevier Sci ence B.V, All rights reserved.
