Abstract
The influence of electron beam irradiation on the fluorocarbon rubber vulca nizates at varying levels of the curative-hexamethylene diamine carbamate i s reported. A higher crosslinking density, reduced elongation at break, inc reased modulus (both static and dynamic), decreased loss tangent value at T -g and increased glass transition temperature have been observed for the ir radiated rubbers, as compared to the control rubber. The results are explai ned with the help of structure. (C) 2000 Kluwer Academic Publishers.
