Abstract
Temporal solitary waves in material systems yielding a quadratic nonlinear response and in the presence of a Bragg grating are theoretically identifie d and numerically investigated for the specific case of second-harmonic gen eration. Their peculiar and intriguing features are reviewed and discussed in view of potential applications.
