The purpose of the study was to discover factors that may influence blue co llared workers' participation in health promotion programs. One hundred six ty blue collared workers age 18 to 65 completed Laffrey's Health Conception Scale (LHCS) and Fenders Health Promoting Lifestyle Profile (HPLP). Result s indicated: 1.) Women scored significantly higher on health responsibility and interpersonal support than men; 2.) Older workers scored significantly higher on nutrition, while younger workers scored significantly higher on exercise; 3.)
