Abstract
Rapid and selective regeneration of carbonyl compounds from their semicarba zones and tosylhydrazones was carried out using hexamethylenetetramine-brom ine (HMTAB) and N-bromosuccinimide (NBS). Good to excellent yields, mild, n eutral and solvent-free conditions are important features of this method.
