Abstract
Temperature dependence of ultrasonic velocities (both longitudinal and tran sverse) in two ZBLAN glasses were determined by ultrasonic pulse-echo techn ique. The experimental results are used to obtain elastic constants. The te mperature dependence of elastic properties of these glasses shows a very in teresting correlation with the glass structure and can be used to determine the glass transition temperature.
