Abstract
Cyclopentanones are formed in the Pauson-Khand reaction of cobalt alky ne complexes in the presence of TFA. The in situ precursor complexes w ere formed on the reduction of CoBr2 by zinc metal in the presence of the alkynes under carbon monoxide atmosphere.
