Double C-patch fed by coplanar waveguide

A miniaturized antenna, the coaxial probe-fed double C-patch, recently nas been described. Owing to its numerous qualities such as low cost, easy real ization,and a ver small size (lambda/11), a new structure fed by a coplanar waveguide (CPW) has been developed. A wider bandwidth, lower frequency tha n a double C-patch, and a dual-band or tri-band character are obtained with this new kind of excitation, which moreover allows an easier integration o f active devices.
