Abstract
Connectivity between 30 cytoarchitectural areas covering almost the whole r egion of neocortex has been proposed. The data source provided by J.L. Cone l was used for the analyses. The analyses consisted of computing correlatio n coefficients between each cortical layer of one cortical area to each cor tical layer of another cortical area over the eight age-points and comparis on of the time of the first appearance of myelinated axons per layer per ar ea. Derived connectivity supports some interesting findings reported recent ly by others and is in good agreement with neural network model deduced fro m neuroimaging and psychological experiments.
