Abstract
Excision of hemangiomas and vascular malformations can be challenging becau se of their vascularity and risk of intraoperative bleeding. This challenge is compounded when the lesions are located on the scalp. We found that the use of Raney scalp clips, designed for use in neurosurgery, aided in the s uccessful excision of a large hemangioma on the scalp of a 1-4 year-old chi ld.
