Abstract
The preparation of mesophase pitches from the resins obtained by the extrac tion of low-temperature soots was studied. The optimum conditions for therm al polycondensation of resins were defined. Phase composition and structura l characteristics of the obtained pitches were studied by X-ray diffraction technique.
