Abstract
A simple first-order model of piezoresistive strain gages is presented. The model reproduces the well-known cross-sensitivity to temperature variation s and is derived from the definitions of GF, TCR, TCGF and a few physical c onsiderations. Commercial piezoresistive strain gages were characterized an d the model agreed well with the measured values. A SPICE realization of th e model was created.
