Microstructural formation, deformation behaviour and deformability of heattreatment steels in the two-phase region

This article is a contribution to the clarification and assessment of the i nfluence of forming in the two-phase (gamma-alpha) region on the transforma tion behaviour and the special features of microstructural formation in the intercritical region. A further objective is the investigation of the defo rmation behaviour and deformability in the (gamma-alpha) region, including differences with respect to the deformation processes in the austenitic reg ion. Investigations were conducted for two heat treatment steel grades by m eans of a deformation dilatometer and a torsion plastometer.
