Abstract
The transfer hydrogenation of aromatics containing various reducible groups has been carried out employing isopropanol as a hydrogen donor in the pres ence of different calcined LDHs. It was found that the NIII-Al-III (mol rat io 3) catalyst is highly active in bringing about chemoselective reduction compared to other calcined LDHs.
