Abstract
We describe a patient with acute inferior wall myocardial infarction who de veloped sinus node dysfunction following thrombosis of the sinus node arter y during percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty and intracoronary s tent implantation. Sinus node function normalized spontaneously over the ne xt week, allowing beta blockers to be initiated, Our experience suggests th at sinus node dysfunction in this setting may be transient and should be ma naged conservatively.
