Abstract
Self-assembled nano-sized stripes are obtained spontaneously by electrostat ic adsorption of bolaform amphiphiles onto mica sheets. The ordered stripes are separated from each other by about 10 nm, and the ordered region can e xtend over macroscopic areas.
