Abstract
By using a slight molar excess of the IPy2BF4 reagent in an acid containing medium, activated aromatic residues on Tyr derivatives and peptides select ively react yielding, as major products, the monoiododerivatives; this leve l of reaction control cannot be achieved by other iodinating methods.
