Affinity precipitation of proteins

Affinity precipitation combines high performance and simplicity of precipit ation methods with high selectivity achieved in affinity methods of protein purification. The affinity precipitation could have a great potential as a n alternative or complement to affinity chromatography, mainly in downstrea m processes. Basic principles and characteristics of the method are given. In addition, the paper describes some special applications of affinity prec ipitation in protein purification.
