Abstract
Mini-plants offer enormous time and cost savings during the development of an industrial process. First product samples and the performance of the who le process with all recycle streams is the result, eliminating the need for pilot scale experiments. The potential use of reactive processes in a mini plant environment is discussed on different extraction techniques as are li quid-liquid extraction, non-dispersive membrane extraction and solvent impr egnated resins.
