This report describes two patients who developed persistent neurologic defi cits during intracranial EEG recording without clear evidence of intracrani al edema or infarction. Both patients had previously received high-dose bra in radiation therapy and chemotherapy. Because of this experience, we stron gly caution the use of intracranial electrodes in patients with similar pro files.
